Yep, that would be the bump in question. You guys are right, the modifications I want to make just won't fly.

Looks like I'll just have to go with either the small rolling office chair or a folding rocker.

Under the front driver side dinette bench there is the waste/black tank towards the rear which does not leave much room in front of it...18 inches. Because the trailer identification sticker is on the outside you can not get a reasonable size hatch there...maybe an 8 inch round. ETI will not move the location of that sticker a few inches even...like under the clearance light. You can still get to that area from up top but that might be a pain if you have a mattress there.

Thank you for that picture and the information. You're right, if I use that space at all, it will be for long term storage of something I don't plan on using often.

That stinks. Some early classic 19’s have an optional hatch in that location and there is a fair amount of space accessible. If Reace knew you were going to do an aftermarket hatch retrofit maybe he would consider providing another sticker. Can you get an extra hatch on the front passengers side? I don’t see it as a listed option.

I pushed hard about the sticker and Tammy said it must be in the approved location. Having done some reading on the forum I think registration changed a few years back and tighten up. I know in the past Reace would just print up another but I think that is not going to happen again. Apparently it can be relocated once you get the trailer. I have my 3 hatches ready to install.

I keep trying to think of a way to fit one of these Benchmaster recliners into an Escape. They are 33" wide at the arm rests. I have one in our house and it's very comfy, but affordable.

Just one? If I did that I’d never get to sit in it.....

I know some folks don’t care about resale value, but one may want to factor that in when thinking about permanent modifications u might make....

Great minds think alike! That is exactly what I'd like to have, but a rolling office chair is going to be the most likely workable option given space constraints.
