Under Sink Drinking Water Filter

Hi,
I has follow this forum for a year now, I am picking my 19' in June. I learned a lot from this forum and would like a give a little back. I plan to install a under sink drinking water filter system into my future 19' and here is what I am gonna use, and current on-sale for $65, use to be $125. Not sure where I am gonna mount it yet, but I will figure it out after I get the trailer home.

Cheers.

12x9x5 inches (plus space to change out filters) is a lot of storage volume to give up. A really good screw-on filter at the campsite spigot works quite well for us.

I wanted a separate filtered water faucet for my 17B, and found that most standard filter systems were too tall for the space under the sink. While this system looks short enough to fit, the cost of replacement filters is pretty steep, and, as Charlie pointed out, it takes up quite a bit or room.

My solution was to add a refrigerator ice maker filter in line with a lever action faucet. The filter in in the driver's side bench storage.

Even though it said under sink, I plan to mount it under the rear bed on the passenger side and run a 3/8 copper flex pipe to the sink mount faucet. I have this similar configuration at home now where I mount the filter in my garage and run a flex copper pipe underneath my house to my fridge ice maker and kitchen sink mount faucet.

2 filter housing for external filtering

I too thought about under the sink but that space it too valuable to me. I ordered a dual canister filter housing with hose fittings from the RV Water Filter Store with the RV-SED1 filter (removes sediment 1 micron or larger) and the F1Pb cartridge (filters chlorine, taste and odor, cysts, lead, etc.). I built a housing from plywood so the fittings protrude a bit so you can hook your hose from the spigot to the housing and from there to the trailer. It can lock if needed.

I planning on the same thing as well. I am bringing "Camco 40631 EVO Premium Water Filter" with me on the pick up trip, the 3 stage filter is just for the drinking faucet mount next to the sink and install after I get home. I also plan to get the hand pump faucet instead so I don't have to rely on the water pump, not sure how the hand pump faucet work with the 3-stage filter.

Through my research, i discovered unless you are spending the majority of time in your trailer, the under sink filters are not advisable because they sit stagnant for so long, wish i could remember where I read it. I bought a water filter pitcher for the counter.

Same here, Charlie! A good filter on the spigot and a water filter pitcher on the counter. I drink a lot of water, and it always tastes good.

With the new style single handle faucet from ETI, I think we can no longer use "Spigot Filter".

Hi Lonestar, You mean not filtering the water at the campground spigot, before it enters your trailer? Sorry, I don't understand.
