If I lived in Colorado, I would have done the same, but being tied to only one section of the country sort of defeats the purpose of having a travel trailer. Being able to camp in the cold, the wet, the hot, and the dry expands one's opportunities. Our first couple of years involved intrastate camping, but lately we have broadened our choices, perhaps because we can go there in comfort!!

The aesthetic improvement in my opinion was worth the potential downside of not visiting hot-humid parts of the country in summer.

We have a different view of the range hood. We did not get it in the 15 because it did not vent to the outside so we figured why bother. Well, if you do use you stove a lot even with the Maxx on steam and normal cooking particulates go up onto the cupboards. Stainless is much easier to clean. In addition, remember that the "wood" paneling is a vinyl covered wood substrate that has tape over the seams. The seams above our stove have started to curl and pull away. I would definitely get the range hood, but only if you are actually going to cook. Our two cents...

On this current run through the NW, I am wishing the AC had the optional heating strip.

Short lists or "stickies"
I realize that this is an older thread. However, I wanted to comment that as a newbie, Laura posed a lot of the same questions I have right now, and I appreciated seeing a lot of the pertinent questions located in one thread!
It would take me days to go through every item she listed (plus more from my list), in order to glean information ... And in fact, it has taken me several weeks to do so as it is.
I feel as if I still have so much to learn....
So with this in mind, is there anyway to make a section of the forum specifically for consolidated lists of, for example, questions, "best of" modifications, most popular options lists/short lists, and on and on? Or is there already such a section and I just missed it?
Just wondering....:

Addie, I don't know if there is. I just know I've spent a heck of a lot of time on this forum after my initial posts, asking questions and reading lots and lots of threads. I log in several times a day to read new posts and threads. Yeah, it takes a lot of time, but it is educational.
I've also bookmarked in a separate folder (well, 3 folders) threads on the trailers, as well as stuff to put IN the trailer once we eventually order and get it.
AND created an Excel spreadsheet on the options I want in the trailer (now I need to change it to the 21' instead of the 5.0TA - yeah, went with smarter people than me and realized the bed of the truck won't hold my tables and such for craft shows) and the prices. Plus another one on possibles for the trailer, such as "can this be done" or stuff to add, etc, etc. Only way I can keep track of stuff like that.
It works for me but it might not for other people. Good luck!

Welcome Bill. The wait will go by faster than you think. The forum is a great place to learn about all things Escape, but don't forget to contact Escape whenever you have a build question you can't find a quick answer to here.

Welcome to the cult.........
I don't think anyone has "lists" exactly. The moderators are all volunteering slaves of a good nature/humor, not data collectors or database admins.
I found spending a few months perusing every post on the forums to be quite informative. Which is a LOT easier to do if retired............

Keep in mind that there's nothing magical about being a moderator... Any of us can put together a list of posts on a particular topic as easily as the moderators can. Given that moderation is a volunteer gig, it's no more reasonable to expect it of the moderators than of any other member... or of yourself... What I'm trying to say is: if you think such a list would be useful, put it together yourself and post it where others can find it. You'll learn about the thing you need to learn about, and you'll help those who come after you.
But, yeah, it can be a lot of work...
