Question 1.5" PVC pipe as spacer for mattress

Hi all

I want to make a quick and cheap and effective spacer to keep the mattress away from front and side walls. To allow air flow when it is cold outside. On our 21'.

(We noticed a bit of dampness on the mattress sides - when camping in freezing temperatures after our recent pickup at ETI)

I measured - and I think a 1.5" PVC pipe - an 8' piece cut to a 5' and a 3' piece - would work well.

Just dropped down in place.

Any downsides?

I would think it would keep the mattress away from the wall and allow airflow.

Thoughts ?

John

Second the noodles. They work fantastic at the bottom of the dinette back cushions as well to correct the angle.

The dinette cushions are not very comfortable. On our last trip we brought a cushion from a wicker chair we have and it worked great.

Hi Rossue try the large noodle . It really improves your back comfort . It slats the cushions . Pat

Right Pat, however the 4" foam is pretty dense- you know people use it to sleep on. In other RV's the back cushions are cushier- at least it was in a Class C we had.

I know Rossue the cushions are not very comfortable . We have a 2 in piece of foam also ,under the cushions . When we can swing it going to have the cushions redone . But the noodles really help in the meantime . Pat
