Menards and Home Depot sell 15ft & 25ft & 50 ft -14-3 & 12-3 cord . Since the cord is going to layout in the weather ,the cord should be rated for outdoor use (damp ,wet & sunlight resistant) Since you live in a cold climate ,I would seriously look at a polar guard cord
They are rated to -50 deg F so they don't crack in the winter . They cost more but they hold up to the elements.
