2007 Escape 17b - Battery wire gauge?

Hi all, i just wanted to confirm what gauge wire is coming off your battery and into the fuse box. Mine is currently 8 gauge strand.

Thanks!

How fortunate of you to ask.
I was trying to adjust the red wire so I could photograph the code, and it broke from the ring on the terminal.

At least I'm at home. My trailer is a 2009, picked up in 2008 and I do not have an inverter or installed solar.

I don't think it's small if you don't have the 1,500 watt inverter.

The trade standard is to take the full load current (Amps) and multiply by 1.25 to determine wire size.

I don't run the fridge on DC. I got a two-way fridge because it was explained to me by Reace that if I've been camping and the battery is low when I leave camp, the battery will still be low when I arrive at my destination.
The vehicle can't deliver enough charge to run the fridge on DC and charge the battery at the same time. I run the fridge on propane unless I have an electrical hookup, which is unusual for me.
The vehicle was wired with #10 AWG instead of the usual #12 AWG because I thought I would be getting a 3-way fridge, until Reace explained the dilemma.
