2016 Escape 19 - Rear lights stay on dimly

Hi to all.
Our escape 19 "Escapade" has dual solar panels and both high and low light sets at t he rear.
At the end of a repair of the cold water feed to the HW tank we noticed that the rear light on passenger side are on dimly.
The tow vehicle was not connected
We were not connected to external power
When I shut the master battery switch off the lights stay on.
I've crawled under the bed to the passenger side rear and do not see any bare wires that could cross connect.

My only thought is that somehow the solar controller is cross connected to the passenger side taillights but that seems very strange. Why just one side?
Anyone come across this before?

We just came back from a trip through Dawson City YK and the rough roads caused some things we had stored under the bed to jump the partition rail and break the pex pipe feeding the HW tank. Pock marked the insulation around the waste outlets as well. Klondike, Dempster and top the world roads really had a go at Escapade. I wonder if all the shakes did something to the electrics.

I've emailed ETI but also thought I would plumb the depth of wisdom on the forum.

I would first determine if it was the taillights glowing dimly or the turn/brake light. I would suspect the turn/brake light since all the taillights would glow if one were on. If it does it without being hooked up to the tow vehicle I might suspect a short or even corrosion between the trailer charge wire and the turn/brake light circuit on that side. My 2cents worth.

Eric probably nailed it. Check for "crud" in the trailer 7 pin connector. There might be a path between pin 4 (the trailer charge line) and one of the trailer external lights. As far as I know, the 7 pin connector and the splice box for the connector cable are the only places where the two wiring systems could be connected.

OK Gang that was it. We have had rainy weather here and the dust cup over the 7-pin connector let water in . The face of the connector was wet. Dried and cleaned and lights are out. Thanks a lot. Not sure I would have figured this out.
