5.0 door binding
Screws on the bottom of the door are binding in the frame. Fixed by replacing with flat head screws counter sunk into door. After that round head screws on strike plate started binding. Reace suggested pounding the strike plate flat. That worked for a while then the round head screws started binding. So now I removed one of the screws and Reace suggested putting a longer screw into the door frame. Bottom line is this is c&rap and needs to be fixed!

I find when the trailer is not properly leveled the the door can stick, try tightening the stabilizers and see if that helps.

No that's not the issue we are always close to level. The problem is the tolerance in the door.

Well sometimes making it a little unlevel helps with the door....that is what I did until the door wore itself in in my Lance.

If you are looking for advise on fixing this, pictures would help. Most of us have a different door setup so can't relate unless we can see it.
You really need to deal with ETI on the issue, sounds to me like it should be covered by the warranty.
If you just need to rant, then forget I wrote this.

The door on our 2018 trailer is also binding . You can see where the screw heads are scraping the paint off the door jamb and scratching the threshold . It doesn’t matter if the trailer is level , out of level or upside down , It doesn’t matter if the stabilizers are employed or retracted .
I’ve tried tightening the screws , filing down the screw heads and realigning the door to no avail . I understand the OP’s frustration !

5.0 door binding
Here are pictures. Reace has been working with me on the issue he is aware of the issues and in my humble opinion should be working with the door vendor to help future owners and fix before delivery. Pardon if you think this is a rant that is certainly not what I intended. We love our Escape. PS showed it twice today.

As there have been no issue with the majority of these doors, I have to wonder if maybe it was installed with too tight of a gap between the door and the jambs. I have seen this with many exterior doors installed in homes, where just a little too tight, or a little off square can cause issues like you are having.
BTW Ken, never for a minute considered it a rant. A smoothly working door is expected.

That’s the same answer / reasoning we got from the local RV shop .
They believe the opening is out of whack and the door was forced to fit the opening causing the door to rub / bind .
Kevin’s door is much worse than mine , so far ours only has scratches on the finish

So they changed the doors on the 5.0 from 2017 to 2018?
My 2017 has no door issues.

Today I installed a #8 1" screw into the strike plate and door frame and seems good for now!

The only door change that I'm aware of is going from the 1st G curved model to the 2ndG straight door starting in 2016 when the molds were changed.
