Question Adding cigarette power plug to extra RVS backup camera.

Hi all

This should be very easy - but I am being very careful

I would like to add a cigarette power plug to extra RVS backup camera. Same kind as ETI installs.

I have this extra camera to place in the rear of our SUV trunk area temporarily. With the hatch open

To help me align the hitch ball with coupler when hooking up by myself.

(The backup camera on our SUV is terrible at doing this on our Tug. Tiny screen inside the rear view mirror. )

So on my loose extra wireless RVS backup camera there is a black wire and a red wire.

There already is a fuse in the cable, or so it seems.

I need to buy the bare cigarette power plug and solder it on correctly, and somehow add some strain relief.

That is all, correct?

Yes the camera is 12v

And I will just pair it to the RVS dashboard screen. And be set.

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Now where did my soldering iron go? Haven't used it in years.
