An unexpected little problem .....
We've not been able to leave home at all this year, however this week I've been de-winterizing our trailer ( pretty much so I can winterize it afresh in a couple of months ) Not much work with our little gem - just checking stuff - clean windows.
When I turned on the gas ( at the tank ) it answered with an unexpected rush and aroma. Seems our hose has cracks, not something we've ever experienced in all our years towing. Wondering if that is from heat or cold, as we've had extremes of both.

My guess would be age. Especially if exposed to sunlight.

Yes, the rubber, like your tires deteriorate with age, especially since the propane gas is eating the rubber inside and the environment is eating it on the outside. Six years though is not too bad. I have never had this problem and we all know why......

An easy fix, but a pain none the less. Glad it you could notice it right away, otherwise......

Hoses
When this happened to us on the 2010 it was fall of 2016 and it was crack right at the crimp. I replaced the hose from the regulator to the copper lines and the regulator at the same time.
As stated 6 years is about standard here in the Midwest. Don’t know about your area.

Yeah ..easy enough ......maybe Can.Tire has that hose - don't feel like heading all the way over to Princess Auto ......(couldn't miss it two deep cracks )

It's actually always covered and only on when cooking inside, our heat and fridge are electric only ....age is probably right though ......

I had the exact same issue this spring on my 2013 19'. As others mentioned, it is fairly simple to switch out. If you have time, just order a replacement online from Amazon as that is typically the cheapest option. I was a bit rushed and ended up paying premium prices at a local RV shop.
