Mike Lewis suggested carrying a spare sail switch in his
"Furnace Stopped Working" thread.
I'd like to add another item for those with the 5 cu ft refrigerator. Next week I'll be on my third thermostat (in a 5 year old trailer). Both failures were on the 120V electric side - the propane side works fine. The first failure caused the electric contacts not to open, which tended to freeze the refrigerator section.
This time is a bit different. When the electrical contacts open after the refrigerator reaching its set point, they don't close as the thermostat warms up, although sometimes they close when the refrigerator temperature reaches room temperature.
If you do a Google search (or ask Reace) thermostat failure in this refrigerator is a common problem.
At $85.00, it is a bit expensive to keep as a spare, but that might be better than waiting for one to be shipped to an installer. The refrigerator must be pulled in order to install it, so expect a fair amount of labor as part of the bill. Domestic Part # 2007199009.
