Awning confusement.....

My awning, see pictures, is extended about 1" front and rear. I'm aware of Reace's 3/17 video where he describes how to adjust for the travel of the power awning. In addition in 3/17 there is a picture from the manual re: pushing the open and stop button to disengage the back release feature, which is suppose to allow the awning to close more. Finally there is Eggscape post in April 2019 regarding using a 5/32 allen wrench to adjust the closing.
I notice the new awning does not retract a little when opening like the older awning, perhaps that that is the back release feature that has been disabled. The old style power awning when you stopped the extension or closing it would jostle back and forth for a moment, the newer one does not or again mine may have that feature disabled?
So what do I do first, enable the back and forth feature or is that only with the old style power awning? Do I extend and relocated the bolts or use the allen wrench method?

Jim,
I went out and played with my awning as I was doing yard work. My power awning sits flush as is closed, and as it extends when stopped it will retract a few inches, as if it is tightening things up. Just like you describe your previous awning had done. I believe our trailers were built about a month apart, my completion date was 2/13/2019. Hope this helps.

I am interested in seeing if you can get it to jog in with the remote.

Thanks for posting this, Jim. We noticed the same on ours (but only on our right side??) and it was puzzling us a bit, too. Not enough room to work on this fix where it's stored so will add it to the 'to-do' list for our next outing. Thanks!
