how much propane is left?

For what it is worth, I use the AP Mopeka TankCheck LBG tank check dual sensor kit to monitor the LP tanks. I got it from Amazon, but looks like only Gander Mountain has the dual sensor kit right now. you can read about them here. I decided to get this after my last regulator didn't show red even though the tank was empty.

Iowa Dave, hope you bring the manometer to the Mississippi Rendezvous. I would love to check the pressure at my fridge. I will even bring you a beer or two if you show me how to do it.

Hey Leon
Good to hear from you. Although it was mentally hard for me, I took a couple survival items out of my black survival bag and put the manometer in along with making sure I had the right sockets. I realized that the manometer might be necessary for cold beer and was more important than a third survival knife, second knife, spoon and fork set and a few extra packages of sugary hot chocolate mix. Still have my Girl Scout mess kit, my vise grips and three waterproof match boxes though. See you in September.

Where do you get waterproof match boxes. I've had waterproof matches in the past, but the boxes dissolved when they got wet.

Sorry Glenn I misspoke when I said box. I should have said case. The three I carry in my leather bottomed backpack are a Boy Scout brass unit I bought in 1961 or so, a machined brass model with knurlized striker and compass in the cap and a US military issue like we used to give the Scouts when they earned their Fireman Chit. The forth one is a US Made
Everdry from my collection. I like the slide back top for alignment that prevents cross threading. The knives are a Swiss army knife in case McGuyver isn’t camping with me that weekend. A WWII United States Navy issue “Boy Scout” style with cap lifter
and can opener and a USA made Remington R-45 folding Hunter with saw.
For sharpening a Boy Scout stone and also pair of 6 inch long nose Petersen Vise grips in a leather case. The compact utensil kit is Boy Scout by George Schrade from the late 40s/early 50s. I travel with this bag most of the time and there are more goodies to keep me warm, clean, and dry. It’s never my intention to get in a tight spot but it can happen so I live the motto. Be Prepared
