Bathroom fan not working
The bathroom fan in my 2015 21" has not/never worked. I push the red button with the vent fully opened and nothing. I contacted Escape and they have sent me a whole replacement unit. I thought it would be an easy fix and something I could do myself but it looks like the whole unit drops in from the roof and is then secured from the inside. I was hoping I could replace it from the inside. I am not getting on the roof. I have checked the fuses....any other thoughts?

Drive up to ETI and have them replace it under warranty? You are nice and close to the factory.

I would call ETI and get them to approve the installation at a shop near you. I wouldn't even drive from North Van to Chilliwack if I didn't have to.
I should visit my parents though.

Hi: luckyone... On our '07 5.0 our bath exhaust fan quit. I went and found a push on/ push off switch. Not red but brass. Took me 15 min. to change it and VIOLA!!! Worked again. Cost under 5 bucks. Alf

Bathroom fan not working
I installed the ventline bathroom fan kit from ETI to replace the manual vent in my '19. A few weeks after I installed it the fan stopped working. I ran some tests and discovered that the motor lead has a tiny thermal fuse taped to the side. I replaced it and it works again. Might want to meter yours before going through the hassle of a complete replacement. This is the fuse I used:

Thanks for that. Tammy did mention to check the fuse and I thought she was talking about the 15A fuse in the fuse box. This could help. Was it difficult to replace?

Well, it's much easier than replacing the entire vent. I had to disassemble the fan, which means accessing the mounting screws from the top of the vent. However, if you can reach the motor wires by just removing the inside bottom portion, it may be possible to leave the fan assembly in place. I just used a crimp / wire stripping tool to replace the inline thermal fuse.

Thanks for this info. I was able to order these from Amazon and fix my bathroom fan too. It is a bit of a pain, but now it works!
Thanks Daubsy!

Can you tell me where you got the fuse? I go to the Amazon link and find nothing.

Fan Motor Failure?
Hi Fellow Escapees,
Let me start with the disclaimer that I know very little about matters electrical, and have never had the pleasure of working with anyone who does.
However, I think I have isolated my problem with the bathroom fan as one of failure of the fan motor on my 2015 Escape 21. Without checking with my multi-meter (which I only vaguely know how to use, of course) I ordered the thermal fuses identified above, and replaced the existing one. But still no fan. So I got out the meter and seem to have approximately 14 volts at the fan motor terminals.
Does replacing the fan motor itself seem like the next order of business? A sticker on the inside of the fan housing identifies the fan as a Ventline Model VP. It seems there should be some numbers following the "VP" but none appear on the sticker. Etrailer has some Ventline replacement motors, one of which may be the right one. Maybe they can help me make the determination.
Any other ideas before I go down that road?
Thanks in advance for ideas, comments, and suggestions,
Paul

Thanks Bob & Robert. I think I'll try just replacing the motor. The fan and cap and other components still seem to be in good shape.

Hi: a602pmcc... In our case it was the switch. Replacement was $2.95. Alf

Good point. That fan seems to have more than one failure point. In our case it was the thermal fuse, but it could be the cheap push pin switch. You could try "hot wiring" it or bypassing the switch to see if the motor kicks on before spending the money on a new motor.
