I don't have an Escape yet, so I don't have this set-up, and I'm wondering how it was built. Do you have a photo?

Hi: Yukoner... Here's a pic of the set up in my 5.0. Just changed to a Trojan SCS200 12V. 7 screws to remove the cross member... shown on top of the dinette frame. 2 on the post and 5 in an X under the seat bottom. Alf
