Not so odd if they are really Sisters on the Fly - fly fishers. Nothing more annoying than a dog in the river when you are fly fishing, even if it is your own dog. And, if it's not in the river, it's probably chasing birds and squirrels, and getting lost in the bush behind you.
If I'm going fishing with my buddy, the dogs stay home.

I don't know how much they have evolved, but my understanding is that the group formed with a common interest in fly fishing, without the burden of men trying to correct their casting.

Yes and other camping fun but the no dogs issue is a deal breaker for me . I go lots of places without my dogs but camping for me is more fun with the dogs
Congratulations on your 17A--even the planning and anticipation are exciting, right?
Yes, this Forum is wonderful. I look forward to the day (when I know what the heck I'm doing) that I can reciprocate for all the help I've received!

Our 17A is due for completion in December. We hope to finalize our build sheet when we visit
ETI in early September. While I anticipate more questions, this conversation has been extremely helpful.
Once again, Thank You All!
