Has anyone experienced a smell like burnt toast or burnt hair when they first got their new trailer? When I first ran the propane fridge it smelled like that intermittently and never at night, only in the day time.
Just wondering as it kinda freaked me out.
Thanks.

Well, it's apparently not a stroke.
“There's a popular myth that smelling burnt toast is a sign of a brain tumor, or that you're having a stroke,” he said. “This isn't true. “A stroke can affect any area of your brain, so it's possible that your sense of smell can be affected, but there's no particular smell that you need to worry about.Sep 26, 2016

Not sure what is going on, but this is a good reminder to check the tightness of connections of all wires in the power center (with power off of course!) Richard had a loose neutral wire on his A/C line and it charred the wire. Of course one would think that would smell more like burnt rubber or plastic, but who knows.
May have had a bug or perhaps the start of a mouse nest in the flue of the fridge. Might want to take a look. I had mice get in that area in a previous camper. Did a bit of damage chewing on some wires too.
The smell does seem to go with some foreign matter burning off in the refrigerator's burner assembly, which would occur more often during the day just because the outside temperature is warmer. My concern would be that the smell is apparent inside the trailer, since the burner area should be sealed off from the interior. If the smell is stronger outside, and a bit is coming in open windows, that would make sense.
