I rarely stay at KOAs; don’t like them as the acronym (Kamping On Asphalt) is somewhat accurate. Really not my style. I prefer State Parks or Provincial Parks as they typically provide a more natural (meaning nature) experience. And I really don’t like that everyone of them has a playground.....

They are family oriented, ergo the pool and playgrounds. But if you get inside a big one, you can get away from the noise.

Stevenson

The world is so full of a number of things, I’m sure we should all be as happy as kings.
Robert Louis Stevenson, as often quoted by my Dad who, on occasion, saw something differently than I did.

I guess I have to be the odd one out - I like the Jack antenna!

Occasionally, we stay the night at Walmart parking lots on the way somewhere. It's nice to be able to watch local channels OTA.

Also, we have stayed at RV parks that do not have cable and are close enough to town to get OTA with the antenna.

Without the Jack antenna, we would go through our stash of memory stick movies too quickly! OTA gives us local news, weather, and sometimes a good old movie to watch.

Ditto, pretty much sums up why I have one.

We also like the option of using an OTA antennae to pick up local TV channels when camping - mostly to catch area weather and local happenings first thing in the morning and a quick roundup of local and national news at the end of the day. But since we use an OTA antennae mounted to the spare tire carrier, we still need a stretch of coax cable (25' ?) to carry the signal from the antennae to the cable fitting on the side of our 21. The antennae doesn't need to be as high as depicted in the photo, but that shows the maximum height of the adjustable pole we use.
