I was on a cruise ship out on the open seas once and at the big dinner the nice folks sitting at table with us were complaining they couldn't understand why they couldn't get get cable tv in their room.

Sooo... you're at an RV camp that provides cable tv?

There are 2 on/off switches If I remember correct, one on the Jack base and one on the 12v outlet where the tv plugs in....

Testing out everything we can on our new E21, known as "Sweet Escape". Thanks, I'll try again in the morning.

My experience: Cable works best when the King Jack and the cable switch are turned off. Or unplug the cable to work the King Jack. Hope this helps.

Normally the King antenna is energized when you wish to receive OTA TV signals and is deenergized when using cable TV
The King Antenna manual on the internet says roughly the same thing and my experience is similar

Thanks for all the suggestions . Turned out to be one of the cable connectors on the back of the King switch did not get crimped. It probably test ok at ETI but the bouncing highways allowed the wire to pull right out.
