Thanks. We do plan on the KOA as a first stop.

Camperland RV Park just east next to Bridal Falls Water Park. We stayed there and it was very good.

I also highly recommend the Lynden Koa. The owner is very nice and the place runs like clockwork with lots of well trained and personable young people working there. When I commented on their engagement with campers, the owner said she looks for that. She said anyone can be trained to do the job, but a courteous personality can rarely be taught. One caveat, if you’re planning to stay there around rally time be aware that Victoria Day holiday is popular—same wkend as Memorial Day USA.

Close, but not quite.

Memorial Day is on the last Monday of May, which is May 27 in 2019.
Victoria Day is last Monday preceding May 25, so it is as early as the 18th or as late as the 24th. That's May 21 in 2019.

So generally Victoria Day is a week before Memorial Day... and Canadian campgrounds can still be busy on the Memorial Day weekend.

Ahhh thanks. I was confusing my holidays in that I was coincidentally also in Canada (the other end, Nova Scotia) this sept. I believe it’s Labo(u)r Day that’s the same in both. Will put the May dates on my calendar.

Yes

And any of the religious holidays (Christmas, Easter...) are the same as well, but not Thanksgiving.
