Can't Sleep

Maybe this is just sour Grapes
Last night I was at Tunkwa lake up by Logan lake area
Instead of being in my escape trailer (due in Aug.), with a heater.
I was cold and freezing my *** off, in an old leaky tent.
The wind was blowing so hard it flatened the tent twice.
The second time it was tied to my truck.
Ya I could not sleep, so I started to laugh.
My buddie started to laugh too, and complemented me on my new escape trailer.
I hope your ears are burning Reace, Aug is ALONG time coming, when it is blowing snow.
Does anyone have a time machine, if so beam be to Aug ;-)

Re: Can't Sleep

It's okay, we understand. We have all been through the same thing, but we survived. The sun eventually came out, and all was well, and we slept.

Maybe you will get lucky and Tammy will have a cancellation. Not likely though; you Canadians are doing very well.

I was fishing at the lake next to that one (Leighton, I think) about four years ago. It was July: It was cold, and the wind blew all day and all night. I think it always blows there. It blew me off of the lake, and felt like it was going to blow the trailer over. And what was worse, I drove up from Whidbey Island, paying my non-resident fishing fees, and caught no fish.

Ah yes. I have fond memories of fishing Tunkwa and Leighton and Logan Lake.

Re: Can't Sleep

Hi Gbaglo
Nice fishing stories
We stopped over at the lodge, the ice came off last week.
Fishing was slow, it is a two fish limit lake.
We caught our limit but it took several hours
8 to 13 inches, 12 inches avg.
Lots of fun but cold and blowing snow.
White caps all day long.
Four days to my next fishing trip :-)
