Clicking in the a/c unit while furnace is operating?
First time use of furnace and there is a clicking sound above in the a/c unit, almost like a relay or something up there is involved with the furnace operation? i know the digital thermostat requires a special a/c relay, is that the cause of the clicking? Anyone else notice a clicking while operating the furnace. I do not have the heat strip option so that is not involved. But it sound like it is communicating with the furnace or thermostat?

Does your furnace attempt to light, or is the only response while in heating mode coming from the A/C unit? And does your A/C operate OK while in cooling mode?
I don't have A/C, so this is just a guess, but maybe the thermostat does not know you don't have the heat strip (or is wired as if you do), so it is trying to activate the heat strip which is not there.
Jim: There are Internet posts with similar issue. Try to reintialize the thermostat and make sure temperature differential is set to d2 (2 degrees). This has worked for most folks to eliminate the clicking. Read post #9 in this thread: Click sound before heat kicks on - 2014 Forest River - Forest River Forums
