Counter Extension

Working on Build Sheet and wondering if these are a must have and if so, where?

Thanks for your advice!

I recommend one at the foot of the bed on the nightstand. With the 21 one is not needed at the door by the sink since there is more room for drying dishes than with the 19. Otherwise if you get the "U" dinette, 2 in the dinette area would allow eliminating the table some times.

Added the extension table for the nightstand stack to the build sheet - still haven't used it. When it's up, it blocks the remote signal to the television when I am in bed and my wife bumps it getting out of bed. My wife saw the extension table next to the sink at a rally and is still beating me up for not getting it. She wants it to have a place to place dishes when cleaning up. Dirty dishes on the extension, wash in sink, put clean dishes on drying towel on the countertop.

So, extension table for dresser stack - no. extension table for sink - Yes!

We have the standard dinette and didn't get any counter extensions and have not been sorry.
However, some people who do a lot of cooking outside like to have the sink counter extension to set pans of food as they are being passing in and out the door.

The choice of extension tables and where is mostly dependent on the individuals. I rarely use the one on the end of the kitchen counter near the door, but my most used is a narrow table on the bathroom wall next to the bed. Probably would be less useful if there are two of you, but it works great for me.

Is it a "must have", certainly not but we have one. As Tex describes, we use it for the dishes and when bringing food in from the grill.

I love the one at the end of the counter, by the door. I do dishes left to right... old habit. Dirty dishes on the flip up, sink and drying rack to the right.

Ditto to having one by the sink. Great for food prep and for dishes. For us it has become a must have - or very pleased we have it for our style.

Even with doing dishes outside, it's handy to have the counter extension. The extension has saved me quite some stepping in and out by just putting all clean dishes on the extension. Once all dishes are "in" ("on" in this case), I go in and store them away.

Counter extension

Isn't the counter extension next to the sink, standard on the '19. I just looked at standard accessories and a build sheet.

If you aren't liking it by the end of the bed---can't you just change yours and put it near the sink.

I moved ours from near the sink and put it on the other end of the wardrobe ...

They are easily removed, just find some putty for the holes. It is relocating that gets complicated, trying to insure it is mounted to a stud behind the paneling.

It looks like the two extension tables may be a different size. If I relocated the table by the bed to the end of the counter top, it would cover the awning and outside light switches.

If someone that has the sink extension table in a 21 would post measurements, I would appreciate it greatly!

This is the end counter extension on our 2017 21’ TT. We use it every day.

I reversed my table from 15" out to 13" extended and 15" long, and the receptacle is till accessible, made it easier to exit with the table extended
