I too remember this and that it was around a hatch opening and despite initial ETI denial they later did take responsibility.

Question for OP: How did you get imaginary spider cracks to show up in the pictures?

Not the one I was thinking of. Believe it was an outside shower that had a crack in the corner. Was initially denied and then reconsidered.

May have been reconsidered only after the gel coat flaking was found underneath. The crack at the exterior shower corner ended up being more than superficial. ETI ultimately stepped up and covered it all.

It doesn't look like impact damage to me. I have done a fair amount of fiberglass work on cars. In fact, I recently finished prepping and painting a fiberglass hood on a 65 Mustang and after a few weeks, it developed the same kind of issue on one part of it. I know that nothing hit that hood, and it isn't in a stressed location, so my conclusion is that it was something I didn't do correctly in the prep and I'll have to redo it. My guess is that same thing happened here. BTW, don't worry about the wax, any competent fiberglass repair shop will just wipe it down with some wax and grease remover before working on it, which is standard procedure before doing any body work. Also, there are mobile repair bushiness that do work on a wide variety of things like boats and bathtubs. Make sure you specify that the finish is gel coat and not paint.

Just wanted to provide an update on this, since it's been a while. I finally found a local fiberglass shop that would work on my camper, so took it in to them this weekend.
They took a look at the damage, and immediately confirmed that it was caused by some sort of an impact or pushing from the inside. Based upon where the damage is, it's clear that nothing up under the bed hit the wall and caused the damage.
Because the damage initiated where the bed frame and/or mattress rests up against the wall.
So, the repair should be completed this week, and will cost me about $750. That will include replacing all of the decals on that side, since the damaged area that has to be repaired runs up under the decal. I ordered the replacement decal from ETI, and Reace was kind enough to send me a pint of the clearcoat, which will be more than enough for the repair.
