Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
My 5.0 is now in production. Tammy asked me how I might design the outside. I'm getting a Lava (Bright Red) Nissan Frontier to tow the trailer and could use your help in decorating the outside. If anyone has some pictures or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I named my trailer "Lucky To Escape" so somewhere I'd like to put the name on the trailer. Also need suggestions on decal designs.
Thanks,
Roger from Florida

Hi Roger,
Our 5.0 delivery is about eight days ahead of your scheduled delivery. Your graphics can be customize to your individual preferences such as adding your trailer name, home base location, sports team or college logo. As for me, they are applying "Lonestar Escape Edition" to the rear of my trailer at a small additional cost. I have had trailer names and US/State flags on my last trailer. FYI...Decals, graphics, and lettering will ghost your fiberglass in time.
See you out there somewhere/someday.

Are you looking for a decal that associates with Florida?

By the way, for our "egg, which we call "Fire Escape", I designed this decal...

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape
Can you suggest the website where I can find decals to put on the trailer? What size is recommended and where would the decal go on the 5.0?
What about strips, etc. I have little time since I'll be picking up the trailer July 12th. Your ideas would be appreciated. I like that fire escape decal; very creative.
Thanks

Hi: Roger from Florida... Maybe if you call Tammy she could add "Lucky to Escape" to the stripe package, changing the c in lucky with a four leaf clover. Kelly green too!!! Just thinkin'. Alf

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
Roger:
If you have a theme or emblem in mind, you can go on Google and put that word in the search box. Then click on "Images" just above the Google box and you'll only bring up pictures. If you find something you like, save it as a jpeg. Or what I do for presentations and signs, I save it and transfer into powerpoint. That way I can manipulate the image, colors, add text or resize - That's what I did for the Gator picture - then save that picture as a jpeg again. I did my "egg" just using the basic paint program then saved the jpeg, put it on a memory stick and took it to my local sign company to print and they had the decals ready in a couple of days. I'm sure a sign company probably has books of emblems and designs much like a tatoo shop. But if you want to be unique, you might want to play around yourself and see what you can come up with. I added my decals later so don't feel rushed - you can think about it some more and just put them on after you get the trailer.
By the way, the decal I wanted to put on the rear end of the trailer only looked right to me exactly where the "17" in ESCAPE17 was so I just removed the "17" (without any difficulty) and placed my egg there instead.

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
I haven't been able to decide on an outside design for my 5.0. I was wondering if anyone ordered their trailer with no decals on it?. It seems ever trailer has the same strip design other than a different color. I was wondering what the trailer would look with nothing on it.

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
Hi Roger,
Just a suggestion that if you take it home (nude), take the decals home and have the option of putting them on later.
I removed my last decals due to sun fade and grew to like it. Again, over time decals will ghost the fiberglass.
You do not have much time left to decide. I understand my decals are now on.

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
If you want to travel home with a "nude" Escape, I'm sure Tammy & Reace won't mind - well, Reace may blush a bit but ...
The advantage of no decals is you can always add them later although they can be costly, especially larger ones. I ordered my 17B with no large Escape decal on the rock guard and I think it looks it looks great that way! The Escape's are pretty clean looking to start with - I don't know how many ugly "stickies" I've seen with cougars or other creatures looking like they're waiting to leap from the walls!
Tacky, tacky, tacky.
So do it in the nude and if you're a little uncomfortable about baring it all, maybe ask Baglo if he's still got his collection of "nude velvet paintings" he'd be willing to donate...

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
the reason i ask is that i orodered my 19 ft with silver decals i the hopes of it having a cleaner simple look that won't date it self too bad and i am a bit nervous that they may not be dark enough, so i was just wondering what coulor yours are because i thought it look realy nice .

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
We worked with a graphic guy near Chilliwack for our graphics ... He actually came over to the shop and installed things for us and we love the way it turned out. I am in transit now but if you'd like to see photos I can post this week, and also give you the name of the designer (Tammy referred us so she obviously can provide this too).

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
I changed the silver we originally picked for our 17B - when I took the sample outside, it looked too light compared to out truck's colour. The final graphics colour we went with was Silver 6770 from Tammy's decal chart. We're quite happy with the choice. I didn't wanted anything too dark because I thought it would look dated over time as well as be too predominant against the fiberglass colour.

Re: Designing the outside of my 5.0 Lucky To Escape l
My wife chose the colour for the decals, and together we chose a name, "Ladybug". Escape put the name on the rear of our trailer in a font and colour that matched the decorative decal.
