discolored front storage box
Just wondering if anyone has painted the front storage box? Mine does not seem to match the camper or the propane cover and yes, I have washed it. I'm thinking Krylon "Dover White" paint would be a good match, but don't know about painting it due to the rough texture. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on painting? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried "Soft Scrub" with bleach and a scrub brush? This works on ours (now 3 years old) as the rough surface gets and holds the dirt. Our box is actually whiter than the trailer.

More so now than ever, Greg.. Go Titans!!!! Thought about Orange checkerboard, but after Saturday's game, I came to my senses or was it when the beer ran out? Will just try the brush and Scrubbing Bubbles or whatever for now. Thanks for the info on paint.

Thanks techfan. Will give that a try. Sounds much easier than painting.

One feature of RVs with external parts made of different materials and not painted, is that even if they are intended to be the same colour they won't quite match. With time, the difference usually gets greater as the parts turn yellow at different rates. The chip-resistant textured coating on the storage box is not gelcoat, so it is an example of this issue, although it is apparently tinted to match the gelcoat well when new.
There have been a few discussions of painting the propane tank cover - as well as other parts - with that Fusion paint to better match the gelcoat of the fiberglass body. I don't know if it would be flexible enough to avoid chipping when hit by road debris if used over the textured coating.

Now Orange Checkerboard would be pretty great. And we won't talk about Saturday's game, I don't think there was enough beer in your cooler to make that worth re-hashing

I commented on this forum a couple of years ago that a design improvement for the front storage box would be to "invert" the indentation on the lid of the storage box such that it drains water rather than retains water. If this was done, a lot of the discoloration/staining on the lid could be avoided by not having standing water accumulate on the lid, dry and leave discolored areas.

What a great idea - that would be a useful design change to get rid of the water that stays on the lid and leads to staining if left there.
