DM2663 Not cooling on propane
Arghh! Refrigerator DM2663 stopped cooling overnight on propane, worked finw on propane the first night. Worked fine during trip on DC and electric. 58 degrees this morning. We were parked level. Panel is working fine. Also digital thermostat for heater won't stay in Farenheit but that is just an annoyance. Any advice?

It seems strange that the internal temperature of the refrigerator was at 58 deg F yet it was cold enough in the trailer to run the furnace all evening. Usually when it's that cold outside , we shut our refrigerator off at night and everything stays cold till the morning.

It might depend on how warm they keep the trailer. I know you prefer COLD...

If it’s not something simple to resolve, I’d call it in to ETI and get it done on warranty. You could void warranty with Dometic if you start trying to service it yourself.
Check that you still can light stove etc and propane didn’t run out and not switch tanks this morning.

There is an orifice or jet with a tiny, very tiny hole. Propane can vary in cleanliness. Sorry the photo's not great but you can see the tiny hole. Above it you can see a tiny flake of carbon that is larger than the orifice. The slightest restriction at this location will reduce the efficiency of the fridge.

Not sure but I had some regulator problems in the past (had to replace) also but I'd switch it to DC and run it for a bit and then change to gas and listen to hear if it ignites. If you hear numerous "clicks" then it may not be igniting.
Also even though you have gas elsewhere you may want to turn off the gas at the tanks and disconnect/reconnect the tanks and try the fridge again.
Hope you get it working!

phalaney,
Are you at a high altitude, say above 8,000 ft?

Were tanks filled by ETI or by someone else along your route?
If new tanks are not filled and purged you could have air in the line that goes to your refrigerator. I would call ETI and let them help you diagnose the problem.

Hey Ron,
Thanks for your help, Bob cleaned the orifice (took two times) and it appears that the fridge is now cooling down on gas. We heard a woosh, can't see the flame but everything is gettting hot to the touch and the temp in the freezer is dropping. We appreciate everyone lending us advice.
