Hi Jim,
There most be some kind of mis under standing I have been waiting for Mike to email me a link so I could place my order.

This is what Mike emailed me .
Hi Mark,

Thank you for reaching out to us about the Fridge-Fix. We are excited about being able to serve the folks on the escape forum. We will be sending out a link as soon as the units are completed, and once you receive a link, just purchase the unit through our site. Below is a letter that I sent to everyone else. I will add you to the list and email you as soon as we have the units completed.

Best regards,

Mike

Here's the link, although I'm also waiting for an email from Mike before ordering. He said he would send me some photos of one installed. I would like to know if I can retain the upper shelf of the fridge when the fans are installed beneath the freezer.

Parker, The photos mentioned will probably be one of ours after we install the unit, it is only 2" thick and I do not foresee any fit issues with the shelf. I plan on posting pictures of my install as I hope others do the same.

Oh, excellent. I think I'll go ahead and order. I'm not on your original list, but I'm joining the group of fan people. Thanks for leading the charge on this.

I ordered last week.
I wonder about the size too but went ahead and ordered. I had always meant to get one of those battery powered fans, but never did & this looked like a well thought out alternative that shouldn't fall out or need battery replacements.

I have 3 of the little blue fans, operate off 2x"D" batteries, they do not last long in the freezer. Looking forward to the hardwired kit.

Problem with cold and batteries is the battery chemistry doesn't work well at low temps.....

There is a good thread going on the Fiberglass RV Forum regarding refrigerator conversions that have been done. It is especially interesting to read about RV owners who converted to 12VDC compressor units with success;

I have had 12VDC refers in 2 of my trailers, my T@da had dual 1.7 12v refers and my Eggcamper had a single 12v refer. They work fine in all weather and need no outside vent. However they are somewhat noisy and one can hear them operating inside the unit, contrary to the quiet operation of our current model, be it propane, electric or 12v, all 3 modes are silent.

Notice it has a built in fuse, on/off switch and long power cords. The attachment area is quite large about 2x4" on each end with the velcro. Well made with finished edges.

Now I need to decide if I'm going to drill a hole into the freezer floor above the attachment to help move air into the freezer or wait until later?

Jim, why add the fans if you don't have a problem with your fridge?

As I mentioned before, mine seems to cool fine, BUT helping it cool better can not hurt. Maybe I can set the thermostat back to one or two vs three or four. It is like increasing the efficiency of something that already works, just works with less effort.
