thanks all for the info.

we had just the one night with hookups, so i didnt bother to bring our awesome Vornado 110v heater. it has a good thermostat, and can be set to have the fan stay always on, with the heat cycling on and off as per thermostat. so wont wake me up turning on.

it is great. FWIIW.

I did a little research since I thought about adding this to ours...I think you can get it for the Penguin air con that my 2014 5.0 TA has and you need a new digital thermostat with the choices of FAN, HEAT,COOL, HEAT STRIP to make it work. I did not confirm that it would definitely work though....I was not ready to spend the money.

We had one in our 19' Scamp and it was nice to use when it was not too cold out. Especially after not having hookups for a few days(lots of condensation) as it would help to dry the camper out. It works with an electric heating element in the air conditioned air outlet of the air conditioner thus the air is also dehumidified. The air conditioner will ice up on the outside if the outside humidity is too high or if you run it for a long time.
