Just spent the past hour reading through the original RML RMD swap post (on my mobile phone, yikes) - a lot of excellent info there. Of course, we'd prefer that Dometic upgraded our fridge for us and we are willing to pay the install fees,especially since the quotes we have received for a new RMD are around $2000 US. Any ideas why we, as second owners, aren't considered as qualifying for the upgrade?

Good news!! Between Mark from Dometic and Tammy from Escape, we are receiving a new RMD8555 fridge at a reduced cost. We are fortunate to live within driving distance of ETI and therefore hope to have it installed within the next couple of weeks. We also requested additional insulation based on the original 8555 post. Thank you everyone!!
