Don't do it. Last fall I put a piece of tape over the water heater switch to remind myself and anyone else not to turn it on as there was no water in it, being winterized. Unfortunately the tape also was on the wood pannelling by an inch on either side. When I went take it off the paper thin wood grain scheme also came with it. Doesn't look pretty. Don
Thanks for the comment. Was thinking of using a marker, crayon or something to draw in the wood grain look, but may end up looking worse. May also try a plate of some sort to cover it up. Thanks, Don
I did the same thing with velcro so I suggested to Reace that they include a small roll of the tape that they use to mask the gaps between the cabinets with each new trailer. I suspect they will do that.
If you send me an e-mail with your mailing address I'll send you a couple inches of my private stash of woodgrain tape. It'll cover it up the damage nicely.
Hi: All... Yes masking tape can become a permanent "Mask"!!! All paneling is paper thin. Either it's wood veneer or woodlook veneer...it's all paper thin!!! When "Our Escape Hatch" is winterized everything we did is written down on a note pad and left in the trailer so I can remember to undo it!!! I too, have turned on the water heater without water in it so I know how much money a new element is. I have also used a furniture crayon to retouch the missing paper face...It's not that bad. Alf
