Electric heater

Right now I'm using a plug in 500 watt oil filled "radiator" type heater and according to my remote thermometer readings , it is 39 degrees inside BlackJack with 21 degrees outside, a 18 degree differential. The heater is set at approximately 10 o'clock on the dial. On the single digit nights recently I had it set at 12 o'clock and the temperature was kept at 29 degrees or higher. I feel I can leave this type unattended overnight. I think this temperature differential is caused by the insulation package in the Escape. I think it's because of the heater.

That is obvious, but without the insulation, there would be no change in the differential. Or you are just pulling my chain……

I'm pretty sure that's the case. His answer gave me the best laugh I've had today.
