Picked up my new Escape 19 in May then went to Alaska for a month. Had planned to stop in Chiliwack on the way home to NC to have problems "addressed." Didn't need too as it turns out, as I didn't have any...knock on wood. Quaulity in Escape better than in my more expensive late model Winnebago class A diesel on MB Sprinter chassis that I downsized from. And Winnebago's are better than many other brands. So yea, every rv has issues, but based on my Alaska trip I'm pleased with Escape build quality and choice of components.

Good feedback Scott. We've had a few issues over the last 2 1/2 years, but they were mostly with a component that Escape installed rather than manufacturered. I find the build quality superior, especially when I tour other brands at rallies.

If they're like Gary and Betty Ann, the couple with a 17 that we met a couple of days ago, people are too busy camping and traveling with their Escapes to bother with the forum.

Before this, I've never chosen to be part of an online group of people I don't know -- And I have to agree with a previous poster that it is a relief to get away from politics and dissension to talk about something that is fun and that is a significant part of my life.

I am on this same boat (in this same trailer) too. The Escape Facebook page is void of that stuff, but the rest of the site is rife with it.

I am not willing to venture back into the original aspect of this thread, as I already said my piece, but do have comment on the question of why I am here.

I spend time here for two reasons, and one delightful consequence.

Firstly, I love to learn, and this is no different with regards to my trailer. I enjoy the tinkering and making it something unique to us. This site has been a great place to learn in the areas I had no expertise, such as solar and other electronics. I also learned new ideas and concepts in areas where I already knew stuff. This is the main reason I come here.

The second reason is that I truly do enjoy helping others. I am well know with friends and family as the guy who (almost) never says no. It makes me feel good to see someone excited to learn or gain more understanding of how things regarding our trailers and camping works.

And the added benefit from this all? I have got to know hundreds of wonderful people, some who have become friends. I enjoy meeting and camping with these people who get along great in person, as we all start with one commonality, our Escape trailers and the love of camping.

We simply "escape" from that.
Wisdom comes with age.

So many 'things' in life turn into a rat race, which many believe they have to run to keep up.
One of the advantages of growing older, for me, is recognizing those 'things'.
