Eternabond

Has any Escape owner (or other fgrv owner that reads this) used Eternabond http://www.eternabond.com/ for repair or preventative maintenance? According to two trailer supply places (whose advice has proved to be sound) recommend it.

Re: Eternabond

I used it to seal the seams on our former class c motorhome to try to extend the roof life. It works very well. Just be sure that it goes on where you want it, because it would be a ton of work to remove it. It will provide a waterproof seal though.

Re: Eternabond

Why would you want to put that product on top of an Escape Trailer? The roof of an Escape is nice and clean only the vents might need sealing.

Re: Eternabond

I agree. I would only use it for vent sealing, and possibly preventive maintenance. It also appears to come in white. BTW, I was told recently that a fiberglass roof should last for 50-60 years! One thing though, I am not sure if it could be easily used around a round vent without cutting which would defeat the purpose. I am not sure what the frequency of caulking is around the Escape. I am sure it varies because of elemental exposure, but other than visual inspection, is there a general "rule of thumb"?
