Exterior Propane Quick Coupler

Is it possible to get a propane hookup on the exterior somewhere? Something one could use for the BBQ, an outside stove, a lamp, or any other propane device. This would save having to tote around an extra propane bottle as well. I have built my own, making a T out of parts from a propane store that I installed between one bottle and the line to the trailer, but with a cover it is a bit of a pain, and you always have to have propane in the one hooked to. I have seen it offered by others and though it would be a great idea.

Re: Exterior Propane Quick Coupler

There are two locations.....either near the front awning arm or near the rear awning arm. Your choice....$75.00 and can be added to all units.

Just an update....propane quick coupler will only be mounted near the front awning arm.

Re: Exterior Propane Quick Coupler

You'll have to explain that to me next time I'm out there. I would have thought this coupler would be at the tanks, not easily placed all the way back at the rear awning arm, or front. I've been using a 10 lb. tank and the Q ends up wherever it can be shielded from the wind, which is often a problem.

So, not knowing your design, I would have a coupler at the tanks and a long hose to the Q so I can place it wherever I need to.

Just what you need. Another design problem to solve.

Here is a photo of the first exterior propane valve installed. After looking things over closer.....I would prefer not to install one of these valves anywhere behind the trailer axle due to complications of running the gas lines.

This is a quick disconnect with a shut-off valve. It also comes with the male fitting to attach to your hose.

Re: Exterior Propane Quick Coupler

Hi Reace:
That was one of the items we had asked about when ordering our 5.0 but it was unavailable at the time. Can the parts be bought from you as a kit for installation by a local RV dealer experienced with gas installations? I would love to bring our 5.0 to your place for installation but it is a long way from Hamilton ON to Chilliwack.
Cheers John & Cathy.

Re: Exterior Propane Quick Coupler

If you take it in to a local rv dealer, they should have all the parts necessary for the install. If not, let me know and I will send you a kit.
