Fasteners

we are picking up our 19' escape soon and I'm gathering tools to bring.

Are the hex nuts and general fasteners metric or sae?

Screws are either Phillips #2 or Robertson Square Head (most.) Small Crescent style wrench will cover most nuts/bolts. Crossbar tire wrench for spare & torque wrench for lug nuts.

ETI throws in a handy little multi-tool screw driver. A 13/16 socket fits the lug nuts. Those and a 7/16" wrench that we use for our television setup are pretty much all we've needed so far while camping.

Just to piggyback on this, the vast majority of fasteners are either Robertson #2 or #3. Always a good idea to have a toolbox with some metric and SAE sockets, some adjustable end wrenches, and screwdrivers. Escape started including a multibit screwdriver to new owners last year, but we received ours as a rally gift.

Two other must haves in the tool kit imho: a breaker bar and a torque wrench. The breaker bar with a swivel head makes removing the water heater anode plug a snap, and the torque wrench of course for the wheel lugs.

Chassis components (axle fasteners, wheel nuts) are SAE. If there's a metric nut or bolt anywhere, I expect that it would be something small in an appliance... and even that water heater drain plug / anode is SAE.
