We live close enough to ETI, they are the ones on the new trailers. I think $250.00 a piece..

That window/rockguard combo was discontinued by the manufacturer, or ETI would likely still be using it.
I've had no issues.
I got pretty much the last of these windows. Another good advantage with them is they are dual glazed, whereas the one replacing it was only single glazed, but with a better sealing rock guard.

I don't think ours has ever been opened, just as if there was a venting window on the rear of the trailer it would never get used either. With the two front side, and two rear side windows operating, along with the roof vents, you get all the ventilation you would ever need.

Well, that would make a difference.

I would like to know if any elis is have a problem with this much moisture building up between the front window and the outer rock guard? What I think is happening the rubber seal on the rock guard is covering the bottom weep holes on the front window and not leaving any ventilation between the rock guard and the window. I have had so much water build up between the rock guard and the window that one time when I opened the rock guard cover it gave me a literally bath soaking my shirt all the way through. This moisture you see in the pictures accumulated over a weeks time while the trailer what's in storeage.

This pictures is of the weep holes on the bottom of the front window between the rock guard and window. I believe the rubber gasket from the rock garden is blocking the inner weep hope trapping the moisture.

In this picture you are looking up at the bottom of the rock guard rubber seal .I believe this seal is what is covering the bottom inside weep holes.

Mine collects some water also but maybe not as much as yours. The inside of the rock guard was starting to get a bit mildewy so I started leaving the rock guard open a crack when parked in storage. The improved air circulation and better drainage solved that issue immediately.

This is one reason why I love this forum! I noticed the same this weekend, but haven't gotten the chance to post the question yet! I also got a shower when opening it! My short term solution was to lock the rock guard partially open. My fear is that if the water was to be in there, it might freeze and cause damage during the winter. (Luckily, down here we are still to months from freezing weather)

Yes, I agree the easiest thing to do is to just leave the rock gaurd propped open a little bit well in storage. But I am kind of thinking of trimming the rubber seal on the bottom of the rock gaurd where it covers the weep holes. I think this opening should be open so that air can circulate between the rock guard an the outside of the window. This also would better aid in draining out any water that might accumulate.

Mark, we are not getting water like you which seems to be quite a lot. You might see if you can get a good look from above and make any little change there. This whole window and guard is a mildew problem for sure and I can't see there ever being enough ventilation without leaving it open quite a lot. The mildew needs to be cleaned all around the edge and a tiny bit of diluted bleach probably would not hurt. But yours sounds as if it has a problem on the top or sides when closed, maybe not bent quite right or tight enough.

Since I am on my third window gasket (already broken), I would hesitate to have the same setup on a large back swing out window. Although since I have not seen any comments on that problem recently I should probably check with ETI to see if they have a solution.

Hi Floating Cloud,
You gave me a thought I am going to water test the top of rock gaurd with a garden hose. I will have the wife stand inside of the trailer and watching for water leaks. But I still think that most of the moisture is from condensation.

No don't have any water coming inside the trailer thank God. It just from the inside looking through the window my wife would be able to see if any water was leaking past the rock gaurd seal dripping down on the window.
