Flipping the mattress
We're trying to figure out how to flip the mattress in our 19 -- something we try to do regularly at home.
Any suggestions?

My guess is that you have to take it out of the trailer to flip it.

It is not too tough. You can only flip it head to toe because of the curves on the back wall. We just take one end and fold it towards the other, and pull the bottom end under, and it will pop into it's new position.

Well, Thanks Jim!
I'll let you know how we do.
I'm starting to load up. We're setting out for parts known and unknown -- Don't know when we're leaving, don't know how long we're traveling but going west.

Jim you got me thinking is your mattress curved? Because my mattress has four pretty much square corners. I wondering if the new mattress that come with what is called the (The Mattress Cut ) has changed things.

Hi: Ruthe... Our new 5.0TA came with a pillow top mattress. The underside is flat however so no flipping allowed. When I tried to flip the memory foam mattress in our 5.0 I got stuck under it!!! Felt quite like a hot dog.
At least in a 19'er you could simply sleep the other way around. Flippin' simple. Alf

Yes, the two back side edge is curved top and bottom, so you can only flip it end for end, and not side to side. When we got our new mattress last year, I considered curving all 4 corners so I could flip it any way we want, but decided one option was good enough. As we have a 6" firm foam base, and a 2 1/2" latex foam topper, we had them put them in separate mattress covers so they could be flipped independently, because if we had them bonded together we could not flip if wanted. Plus, it makes our new big ass mattress easier to handle, as the latex foam is quite heavy.
