Found a lab experiment

My wife and I were winterizing our 19 today, and while cleaning the fridge she found a condensation drip tray we didn't know was there (or, if we were told of it, we forgot). In spite of keeping the fridge open after every trip, there was about 1/8" of water in the tray and a lot of black mold having a pool party. The tray sits in the back of the fridge just below the freezer. Now that my wife got it cleaned, the tray is back in place and the 19's in bed for the winter. If you've not checked that tray, you might want to give it a look.

Good thought Bruce, I am not sure whether Lisa cleaned that tray out or not.

After each camping trip I clean also the tray. Sometimes there is some water in.

One thing that might also help is to leave the door open about an inch or so that allows air to circulate. However, the drip tray does need to be emptied.

Re: Found a lab experiment

My fridge has no interior light and when the "Suite Escape" is stored, I flip the battery disconnect switch so nothing drains the battery.
If I didn't have the cut off, I'm sure to forget something and find myself with a dying or deceased battery!
