I have the 5 c.f. fridge in my 5th wheel and it freezes everything on the lowest setting. If I set a ice cube tray in the main compartment I have ice cubes in 5 hours! A thermometer shows that its minus 5 on the lowest setting (1) and I still have 7 higher settings so I hate to think how cold it would be on setting 7.
Has anyone else run into this problem and if so what was the solution to it.
Thanks Dave ....... from the online searches I did that's what came up but I wanted to see if anyone else had had the problem. No one is answering phones at Escape and I don't believe they service fridges so I'll contact the local Dometic service center.
Yeeh, you do have to adjust the level dependent upon ambient temperatures, but it should never get that cold on the low setting.

I had the same problem. Mine froze on electric but was fine on propane. There isn't a control board so there are 2 separate controls in the thermostat. It took a bit of chasing but Dometic fixed it under warranty. Well - they provided the thermostat and the labour to replace it but not the labour to remove and reinstall the fridge. Works great now.
That's exactly what mine is doing. It works fine on propane and freezes on A/C.
All the Dometic repair centres were booked up till the middle of June so I called Paul at Escape and he's going to slide a new fridge in tomorrow morning at 8:30 am as I'm leaving for the rally that night ....... what great service!!!
