fridge shelf removal

We're doing some cleaning in the 19, and noticed that a couple of the shelf slots in the fridge have accumulated a bit of scunge. I can't figure out how to get the shelves out to clean the slots, however -- they are held on their left sides by some kind of clip. The clips look to be of two pieces, a base and a cover, that contains the shelf rail and each rests in a niche molded in the left fridge wall. The factory manual is of no help in this regard. Anyone ever figure out how to deal with these things?

Thanks, Bruce

Re: fridge shelf removal

So, never mind. I went back with a flashlight and a small screwdriver. The clip is a 2-piece, and with some slow, gentle prying, the front cover snaps off. Then disassembly, cleaning and reassembly was easy.

Does it side up, or flip out (to the right)...or...? Was looking at the same issue today and was concerned I might accidentally break it. Looks like if ya know how, it should be simple...?

(Oops - meant "slide" up...not "side")
