Front Window & Rock Guard Replacement

I guess I didn't secure the rock guard shield properly and it fell off on our last trip. It was sitting on the storage box when we got home. (My wife swears she saw me secure it) Since it is bent slightly, and the window and guard are one piece, I am getting a replacement.

Do I need a rock guard? Am I the first? Don't have the window yet, but would appreciate any advice for the installation. thanks, phil

Sorry to hear that Phil. That window isn't the high end laminated safety glass like your windshield, so if anything impacts it at highway speed, it will be much more susceptible to breaking. It sure wouldn't be nice to have that window break while towing.
