Embarassed. Drove a few miles before realizing front window cover wasn't secured. Guess what happened? Yes, it came off. Reace tells me that they haven't had much luck re-attaching the cover, so we will probably have them install a new one when we will be nearby in August. Yet, hope springs eternal. Has anyone had any luck re-installing front cover? Any suggestions?
Probably the majority of us have almost forgotten to latch the cover at least once. Personally I think I've been lucky to catch it a couple of times before driving off.
So what damage did it do? Did the white plastic cover detach or did the whole assembly detach? I can't see how the hinging action works. Can you see anything that looks broken or does it look like the type of the hinge action that uses the extrusion shape as the hinge. The sort that you open 180*, insert the part, and reduce the opening and then the part can't jump out.
