Front window holding water
Our 19 has been sitting in the driveway for over a month. I opened the front window rock guard the other day and was surprised when at least 1/2 liter of water poured out. Is this a common problem. Do you store your trailer with the rock guard open or closed? It is level. Any ideas on what to look for?

I keep my front rock guard open for that reason while in driveway, just enough to allow air movement. I also tilt the trailer a little to rear for rain run off and I installed the rain gutters to direct the water off the windows.

Jim--thanks to your posting about the window gutters, we picked up some black ones on our last journey to the states (at Camping World)
When we were on the first part of our trip (we didn't put them on until we were home and trailer cleaned) but a couple unexpected downpours with the 2 rear windows wide open--wet pillows on either end of the bed. We don't have opening windows at the other end, so I certainly like to keep these open..
Haven't been out or left the windows open at home to see how they work, but the 10 foot box did both rear side windows in our 17B quite nicely. You barely even see them.
Next weekend we are going away for four days, not that I want rain...but!!!!

Got a picture of those rain gutters?
I was thinking of just using 1/2 inch aluminum channel, foam taped on a slant over the windows.

You will need the 50' roll to do all your windows or to run 2 parallel lines along the roof edge.
there are 2 whites, a colonial and a bright- I bought bright.

Thanks Paul and Jim.
I bought an 8' length of 1/2 aluminum channel already so I'll chop saw a few lengths, radius the cut edge and 3M them on the bias over my foreword windows sit back and wait for rain. Of course side ways rain will still enter through the screens. Haven't got that problem sorted out yet. Have you?

You can see the EZ gutter installed on our Casita. Great stuff.

That's a lot higher over the windows then I imagined.
The gutters only stop dripping runoff.
How do you stop wind blown rain from comming in?
I don't think it's possible.

I find cracking a window on the leeward side of the trailer, combined with the ceiling fan on low give us lots of fresh air. It could be different in other climates, but I find when it is raining, we are rarely in need of much venting.

Gee, I put ours right around the window (the three sides of course not the bottom) but hope that we can have the windows just cranked open a little, especially on the awning side as that's the way we have our heads...
Although no amount of gutters would have helped with the storm we had here today...
