Fruit, Potatoes, Onions...Where do they live?

So this is an earth shaking question: This is our seventh year snowbirding in the southwest. After five years in our Casita and two yrs in our Escape 21, I have yet to find a good place for fruits and veggies. Don't want them in the refer. I have always hung them in nets and moved them around the trailer so they don't bonk our heads. My temporary place for the onions and potatoes are in the two bottom cubbies. (Dog Max will not go after either!

Potatoes. I just let mine roll around in an upper cupboard. Then I forget about them until I cross the border and the potato police find them and pull me over for a two-hour visit.

Wow - 2 hours Karen. The nice Canadian border guard in Ontario just pointed us to a garbage bin when Mary told her we had some homegrown potatoes along. I opened the lid and found a family of raccoons inside.
