Re: Ft. Langley Egg meet
Thanks Alf, I really did not take too many this time out, though I did get a couple. I think Jenny got a bunch, though not sure how long it would take her to get them posted as they have a long trip home.

Re: Ft. Langley Egg meet
Thanks Sandra. One thing I plan to do this week is take a bunch of photos of the inside.
PS You might want to use bated breath, the baited type might land a fish in your mouth.

Re: Ft. Langley Egg meet
Thanks for the save. I wonder if Jim touched ground long enough to even take any pictures.

Not really.
I will take some soon, life has just been incredibly busy for me, what with work, trying to get stuff done on my own reno, and getting ready to go on a holiday. On top of that, my mother was at my house painting and had a fall off a ladder and frractured her ankle in 3 places and her knee real bad too. She is now awaiting surgery.
But never fear, photos are forthcoming.

Re: Ft. Langley Egg meet
Hi Jim,
So sorry to learn about your mom . That's awful. I wish her a painless and speedy recovery.
In light of all that , we can be patient for pictures.

Re: Ft. Langley Egg meet
indeed - no problemo.
Apparently the recipe is actually from an old (out of print) co-op cook book.
Here it goes.....
1 1/8 cup of flour (I use just under half whole wheat)
3 tbsp of sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
mix dry ingredients first in a seperate bowl.
1 egg
1 cup milk
3 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp vanilla
beat egg a bit, then add remaining wet ingredients (not all of the milk, add it later if necessary to get the correct consitency of batter).
Add wet to dry and mix gently.
Cook over medium heat until a tasty golden brown.
