Last year I started a thread asking for help on replacing the sail switch on our 2015 Escape 21's furnace. I was going to do it myself, but opted to have an RV repair shop do it. Both ETI and this repair shop thought it was probably the sail switch, but in the end the problem was a limit switch. My repair cost was over $400 Canadian. The furnace was just a couple of weeks over the warranty period and still they reimbursed me but only $250. This was because I took it to a non-Dometic approved shop (Tedco) that overcharged.
I do have my old sail switch as a back up. Having learned through my experience, I will probably pull the furnace out in about 3 years time, remove the cover and blow out any debris or cobwebs from around the sail switch. The wires were long enough to pull the furnace out without even disconnecting it.
I made a short video of the inner workings of the furnace sitting on the shop bench for those who haven't already seen it.
