Assuming you have the Escape supplied Interstate GCX 6 volt batteries you have to set the batteries to flooded and it will charge at 14.4 volts. If I am reading the manual correct, it does not appear that you can set anything, it detects the battery and sets itself accordingly.
Do you have lead calcium batteries? If not, how do you change the set points for charging?

What do you mean when you say set the batteries to flooded? Is this an option with the Escape's power system or are you referring to a separate battery charger? Oops, I reread your post and you must mean a separate charger.

See pages 34 and 55-56 of the manual (last link above) - I set it to Lead Calcium, which most closely matches the Interstate recommendations.
See the 3rd table at: Interstate Batteries FAQ :: How do I charge certain deep cycle 6-volt and 12-volt batteries?

I see what you have done. I missed the ability to change battery type. I assume it charges properly? There is not any reason it would not. It is simply putting out 15.5 volts. I do not think there would be an issue with exceeding by .1 volt.
Have you measured? Do you actually get the Xantrex to get to that voltage? It says it is designed to make the battery reach the setpoint, in your case 15.5, and then drop to float. The recommendation from Interstate is to hold it for 2 hours but I am impressed that there is a controller that claims to actually reach those voltages.
On page 41 it appears that the unit measures Charging Output. Yet it displays it as a percent. What is this a percent of? Do you measure with any other devices?

Quick question now, I switched from a flooded 12v group 29 battery to dual flooded 6 volts in series, my assumptions this tells the charger I still have one 12v battery, just one with more capacity? Do I need to change any settings?

I have not tried to verify the voltages with the Xantrex. I do have the standard solar controller since I have not (yet) replaced it.

Jim, I see no settings in the GoPower manual for the size of the battery bank, just the battery type, which is still Flooded.
