Grey tank probes on a TA

Where are they located and can you (should you?) get to them with the undercarriage insulation package? Not too much of a big deal, they read at least 1/3 full all the time but we empty enough that overflow is not a problem. And my homemade tank wand that goes into the drain valve all the way into the tank did get the probes from showing 2/3 all the time down to 1/3. Just wondering where they physically are located on the tank so I can either cut through insulation to see them (probably won't do that) or at least concentrate the wand at that location more when it's in the tank...

Here's the build picture ETI took for me, this is my 2014 5.0TA. Just guessing but it looks like this would be before they tied down the wires, at least I hope so. I've not tried to get to the probes, I have however cut through the foam working on the dump valves last year. Not hard to do, you'll obviously need to watch out for the wires as you cut. I used a sharp putty knife and a razor knife with about a 5" blade. maybe you could break it away little by little with something like a screwdriver. You can just see the upper probe, hopefully it's not blocked by the frame.

Spraying on the new foam is harder to do. Hard might be the wrong word, messy is better.

Perfect!

THAT, as they say, is the money shot! So they they are, right on the wall as the tank wand would just enter the tank. So if I concentrate my spraying just as the wand goes in through the dump valve, they should be hit/cleaned! And you’re right, shouldn’t be too much of a pain to find underneath the insulation with care exercised.....thanks a bunch!
