Hanging wet stuff to dry

Decided to go with this stainless steel stick-up in our 21. Comes in 22 and 16 inch for smaller spaces. Has 3M tape, which is easy to replace with VHB if it fails.

I had a couple of these around, took one apart, cut it in half and reassembled and carry it folded until needed....

I mounted a simple drawer pull above the bed, on the bathroom wall. You can purchase a simple clothes bar at Walmart. This allows our towels to dry while we are traveling. It stows on the shelf above the bed.

It's not that common but there are certainly places where you're told very clearly not to attach ropes to any of the trees.

My clothes line solution is pretty simple and it's worked in a wide variety of locations. I have a 6' piece of thin wall aluminum tubing, super light weight. I made two removable ends for it. One end serves a a short spike to keep the bottom of the pole from skidding sideways. The top end spike makes it easy to drop the guy ropes with an eye over it, no need to tie them on.

It's proven very flexible in various locations. Mostly the inboard end is attached to the awning bracket, front or rear, depending on the location and position of the sun.

Here ya go. Mounting plates have a bit over 4 square inches each, so a tape attach should hold a wet towel pretty well. This is the longest rod at 27.5 inches.

We just use a removable closet rod in bath . The 19 bath is easy because it is not in the way of the toilet . You just place it over next to bath window side about 4-5 in away from bath window side . Pat

I use command hooks, they are a spray bottle holder that fit a hanger really well. Wet clothes drip in my bathroom

Interesting idea - that could be used to hold a light-blocking roller shade for those who like to sleep in when the sun comes up.

We use a fold-up drying rack or we hang towels on the awning support arms. Plus it never hurts to keep some clothes line and clips in your trailer.

Here's another: we use one of those stretchy clotheslines intended for travelers. We loop one end through the left cupboard handle over the main dining area, draw the line through the back handle, and attach the other end to the right cupboard handle with a carabiner. This V-shape holds our shower towels and a couple of small things. It's a great solution for travel and when you're out doing what you came there for. Even better if you only use that main dining area for a bed, as we do.

We saw a couple of trouble makers with one of these at a rally, now we have one too.

Bill, we use the same solution when outdoor drying isn’t an option...a bar with hooks, which sits over bathroom door (hooks outside bathroom). It works for damp towels or wet rain jackets, etc.

We were on a long road trip and stopped one night at a campgrounds that advertised that they had laundry facilities . We got a bunch of quarters at the campground’s office and proceeded to wash two loads of laundry . When the laundry was finished washing we proceeded to put the wet laundry in the clothes dryer only to discover that the dryers were out of order ( No signs indicating the dryers were down ) Back up to the office we go only to be told that we would have to drive twenty miles to the next town if we wanted to dry our clothes
Out came my 50 ft of rope and our bag of clothespins and we hung our clothes outside to dry
The next day while traveling we get an E-Mail from the campgrounds informing us that we had violated campground rules / policy and that we were no longer welcome
We complied with their request and never returned !!

That email from the campground just added injustice to injury! Good thing you had rope and clothes pins. As annoying and inconvenient as these events are, at least they make for good story telling for years to come!

This has been sitting in my Amazon wishlist for months. Any experience using this with a bike rack attached with or without bikes on the rack?

I don't have time to wait to air dry clothes without 60 MPH wind!

Mostly I'm wondering if I have to pull the bike rack to use it.
